5 Star Communications exists to serve the communities our programming reaches. We are here to offer listeners of our stations a voice, so they may be informed on the latest news and events that affect them. We strive to give our listeners a steady voice in tough times, and we also strive to share in our listeners' celebrations. That's why boiled down, we see ourselves simply: We're where you go when you need to know. Our dedication to local news and weather provides all of our communities with a sense of pride and preparedness.
5 Star Communications also exists to help our communities. By offering competitive advertising, we support "Shop Local" initiatives directly. Our advertisers expect us to offer great service, and in return, we provide for them a strong, clear voice to reach consumers. 5 Star Communications is dedicated to providing great service for our clients and helping them reach their every goal, no matter how challenging.

We are committed to helping our community enjoy their days by providing great entertainment through our airwaves and through the events we host. We are dedicated to promoting our communities through advertisement and sponsorships of across the board, big and small. 5 Star Communications believes having a great time through our programs and the great music we play. We make our radio personalities available regularly to share that fun and entertainment at myriad community events.

Everything we sell is brand new. We start all bidding at 50 percent off the item's retail value. We do have minimum bid increases. They include:

Time Limits are VERY important!
Because we feature so many items on each auction program, time limits on gift certificates and items are used. If we say an item will be sold in 10 minutes, we'll take all bids for 10 minutes ONLY! We then, once the phone-call-volume dies down, sell each item. This enables long-distance callers to get final bids into the auction.
Picking up your purchase
Anyone who purchases items on our auction has 10 days to stop at 5 Star Communications (KVHT/KVTK) Studios, 210 W. Third St., Yankton to pick up and pay for the auction items. In the event you do not pick up your items, we will exclude you from future auctions. If you're thinking about stopping out the following day, wait until after 9:30 a.m. so we can accurately sort items and have yours ready. Our normal business hours are from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
