Mount Marty Signs Media Agreement with Culhane Communications
YANKTON, S.D. – For the seventh consecutive year, Culhane Communications will be the “Home of Lancer Athletics” with sports coverage and a weekly radio show during the academic year.
The agreement includes the live broadcast of men’s and women’s basketball games as well as a weekly “Lancer Report,” which will discuss all of the sports offered at Mount Marty. Coverage will also be available through www.kvht.com or www.kvtk.com; the stations Web sites, which will stream Lancer games and the Lancer Report over the Internet, allowing those outside of the broadcast area to also “tune in” to the games and commentary.
Broadcast of the games will be offered through KVHT-106.3 FM and KVTK-AM 1570 while the Lancer Report will also be offered on Sports Radio AM 1570 at 9 a.m. Saturday mornings.

The athletic season at Mount Marty is already under way with athletes returning to campus in mid-August and the first game play over the weekend of Aug. 24. This fall also marks the return of the golf program to the campus, to be coached by Tom Schlimgen.
Mount Marty College is part of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and NAIA Division II. The athletes have often been acknowledged for both their athletic and academic abilities, holding the top collective GPA in the conference for three consecutive years. Last year 31 athletes were named to all-conference teams, 66 to the academic all-conference squads and 34 Lancer records were broken.
Mount Marty athletes participate in golf, soccer, cross country, volleyball, basketball, indoor and outdoor track, baseball and softball.
