SUMMARY:Haunted History Events Presented by the Mead Museum
DESCRIPTION:Haunted History Events Presented by the Mead Museum \nYANKTON\, SD – The Mead Museum will be offering community members two different events during the Halloween season that focus on the haunted history of Yankton. Tickets are required for each and are fundraisers for the museum. \nYankton Haunted History Tours will be held October 17 & October 18 from 6pm-8:30pm each night.  A map (emailed after purchasing ticket) will guide participants between five historic Yankton sites where a narrator will present the building history and its haunting stories.  Non-member tickets are $25 & Member tickets cost $15 (two discounted tickets limit). \nThe Mead Museum Haunted Overnight Experience will be held October 25 from 7pm-7am. The event includes a midnight tour; and attendees will be taken to places in the historic 1909 building that are typically off-limit to the public. The building was originally used as patient housing for women as part of the Yankton State Hospital operations.  Staff will share their spooky stories\, and the American Paranormal Investigative team and a tarot card reader will be there throughout the night.
